Kionix / ROHM Semiconductor KX220 Tri-Axis Analog Accelerometers are available in two versions, the KX220-1071 and KX220-1072 that provide ±20g and ±40g respectively. These accelerometers support 4.5KHz to 8KHz maximum bandwidth range. The KX220 accelerometers come with self-test functions, consume only 0.25mA at 3.3V, and are delivered in 10-pin 3mm x 3mm LGA packages. These accelerometers are silicon micromachined with sense element fabricated using proprietary plasma micromachining process technology.
The KX220 accelerometers feature wide signal bandwidth, good temperature performance, and low current consumption. The KX220 accelerometers operate in two factory programmable modes, Mode 00 and Mode 01. Mode 00 needs the enable pin to be HIGH for normal operation and LOW for power shutdown. Mode 01 needs the enable pin to be LOW for normal operation and HIGH for power shutdown. Typical applications include machine health and diagnostic monitoring, robotics, automation, and manufacturing process control.
